Yay! It’s here! The 1st annual Peter Lawford Blogathon is here! This is also my first time hosting a blogathon and I am so grateful to the participants for signing on. The classic movie blog community is such a great place.
If you decide to purchase any of these great movies through one of the links below, I may earn a commission as an Amazon Affiliate.
September 7th marks what would have been Peter’s 97th birthday. He died in 1984 at just 61 years old. While often a supporting actor, his claim to fame was a starring role in Good News opposite June Allyson.
Through his relationship with Frank Sinatra, that started during filming It Happened in Brooklyn, he also got an “in” into the Rat Pack movies, which I’ll be exploring more in my post. Their relationship got complicated soon after Sergeants 3 and they had a falling out just before Robin and the Seven Hoods.
I’m looking forward to all the posts. It starts today, September 6th and ends September 8th. Participants, please comment below with your URL or you can email me at [email protected], so I can link you! No worries if you are a little late. I realize it’s a holiday weekend!
Thank you again!
Links will be added as posts go up, so check back for more!
