I love participating in classic movie -related blogathons and wanted to do one myself. I was surprised that they aren’t any out there that I could find about one of my favorites – Peter Lawford!
He was a suave, often smooth talking, actor who played opposite such legends as Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, June Allyson and Frank Sinatra. He was a member of the Rat Pack and was a delight to watch! While his personal life was troubled and controversial, his performances remain fun.
He was often looked over and I thought it would be fun to host a blogathon in his honor to celebrate what would have been his 97th birthday on September 7th.
The blogathon will take place from September 6th through the 8th, so you can post your entry any time in this time frame.
Please pick a movie or other topic, subject to approval, and have fun writing! Grab a banner below and let’s get started!

Hi Kristen.
I’ve taken a long hiatus from blogging due to book research. However, I’m taking a break from that and I’m utilizing that time to catch up. On my return I stumbled across your blogathon announcement, and I instantly knew that I wanted to join. Can you put me down for “The Picture Of Dorian Gray ( 1945 ) please?
My blog is: In The Good Old Days Of Classic Hollywood.
By the way: I’ve just announced a blogathon today, and I would love to invite you to join. Here is the link.

Hi Crystal!
Awesome! What kind of book are you working on? Glad to have you! That’s a great movie. I’ll take a look at yours. 🙂
Did you get my comment about Bringing Up Baby? It isn’t showing up. Just checking!
And I just saw the answer to my question. A book on Katharine Hepburn sounds fun, but a lot of work I bet!
Hello Kristen! It’s been about two years since I reviewed a heist movie. Would it be ok if I chose ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ from 1960?
Hi Sally! Of course! I’ll be touching on that movie in my post, but only briefly. Glad to have you! Great choice
Thanks! Looking forward to the blogathon!
Thanks! I’ll be posting my review on Monday, September 7th.
